**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Finance Director and supporting other Directors of the company who are responsible for various business areas.
This is position is a local role based in South Africa, Johannesburg.

**What you will do**:

- Interpret financial information on costs, prices, expenses and revenues and make recommendations to senior management
- Perform variance analysis (Sales, cost, margin) at a detailed level (eg. Product, Customer) and drive or recommend corrective actions
- Perform Business case followup (actual vs. initial assumptions, benefit realization) on investments and other business cases
- Support the annual financial planning and forecasting process for the respective function, also by using economic indicators (eg exchange rates, inflation etc.). Work across the entire organization to collect information
- Support the development of new tools/procedures and ensure implementation for own area
- Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects.
- Coach, advise or train stakeholders, and support the various business areas and directors as their Finance Business Partner
- Ensure policies and guidelines related to own scope are followed and report noncompliant issues to senior Business Control Experts
- Involved with yearend audits and working closely with auditors and follow up on their queries
- Involved in month end procedures and ensuring financial numbers are correct. Perform analysis on variances.

**We believe you have**:

- Minimum of 5 years of Business Control experience, Process knowledge; Product knowledge;
- Experience in a multinational environment of at least 5 years
- Must be a local South African with valid ID
- Qualified to degree level in a business or finance qualification as well as professional qualification ie CIMA/ACCA etc.
- Expert in analysis tool; Stakeholder management; Fluency in English spoken and written
- Proven experience of cost accounting within a manufacturing environment to defined procedures, rules and policies.
- Knowledge and understanding of IFRS, etc.
- Previous experience of audit processes desirable
- Strong working knowledge of systems used within the finance team i.e. SAP, Power BI, MS Office etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to include the ability to influence and persuade at all levels within the organisation; build trust and confidence; and establish credibility
- Strong commercial focus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to details is very important
- Self motivated, able to work on own initiative either alone or as part of a team working to strict deadlines
- Continues to expand and develop professional knowledge within relevant areas of Finance
- Be able to work independently without a team, but answer to various stakeholders
