Our client is looking for a Financial Controller that will be Providing financial support on a daily basis to the relevant Business unit/s. This will include project costing review, cash flow, capex and monthly reporting both on project level as well as corporate reporting for business unit/s. Analysis of goods sold, labour costs and labour hour invoicing. Presentation of monthly financial results to relevant Business Unit Manager/s. Take the lead with regards to financial control of the Business unit.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review of the business unit/s various revenues from projects, services, equipment to ensure cash flow and profitability forecasts are in line with the projected budget. Consult with operational team and business unit manager;
- Review the General Ledger reporting and processing of P&L items; Ensure correct allocation according to reporting requirements.
- Monthly consolidation and related reporting;
- Monthly reporting as well as corporate reporting of the business unit/s completed in the stipulated timeline and with due care and competence;
- Business unit/s management with monthly closing, annual budget and quarterly forecasts based on projects status;
- Track new business and backlog forecast for remainder of year/s and report via a rolling forecast.
- Tracking and reporting on Capital Expenditure commitments vs budgets and forecasts.
- Maintaining and monitoring a risk schedule for the business unit related to any provisions or other balance sheet items.
- Assist with General Ledger cost codes and opening of new job numbers/projects in the system;
- Bookings updating and follow up;
- Analyse financial information needs by reviewing existing systems and working out the best way to meet those needs with the reporting system; (optimisation of the structure)
- Conduct special investigations and feasibility studies on various projects.
- Identifying the opportunities and risks for the Business unit.
- Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy;
- Proactive approach and accountable in taking control of the Business unit financial controlling & reporting;
- Detailed analysis of SG&A and allocation of costs between various P&L areas of function which detail provided to management of various on budget and prior year.
- Assist the operational team with the monthly payment certificates/ invoicing to be sent as per the contracts milestones and ensure that the latter are sent on time. To check the calculating of the contract price escalation/adjustment and FOREX if any; Updating of client invoicing and payment template
- Check and report quarterly stock take and assistance with day to day stock control;
- Manage all aspects of the business unit/s P&L, investigate balance sheet, interrogate figures to ensure accurate reporting;
- Ensure all financial policies are adhered to;
- Improve efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations

- Excellent/ rigorous attention to detail,

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma/ B. Tech Cost Accounting or Management Accounting essential.
- Two - Three relevant experience preferably within a project accounting environment.
- Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cash flow and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Extensive knowledge of JD Edwards automated financial and accounting reporting system. Ability to train users (project managers and cost controllers).
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, monthly closing and project profitability analysis.
- Operation & Services contract management knowledge is preferred.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
