**The Role**
We are recruiting an IT Administrator to join the Corporate IT team who will be responsible for providing IT support in the South Africa office primarily and to the whole business in general. As a core member of the Corporate IT team, the IT Administrator will report to the Head, Corporate IT and work closely with the office admins, the IT and Technology teams to ensure IT Support objectives are met and issues are resolved within SLAs.
The role will be in Johannesburg, South Africa.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- **Desktop, Microsoft 365 Workspace, and Network Support**: The main emphasis of this role is to manage and optimize these areas.
**Projects and Problems we are wanting to address with this position**:
- **Problem**: Tackle network and internet connectivity issues in the office.
- **Project**:IT Asset Recovery or Computer Recycling - This will involve the identification, refurbishment, and re-purposing of old or obsolete laptops and other IT equipment and will include, Inventory Audit, Testing and Evaluation, Data Wiping, Refurbishment and Re-deployment or Disposal.
- S. degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional work experience in IT Support or IT Operations field.
- Excellent customer service attitude with great communications skills (both verbal and written).
- Disciplined project/task management, organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and ability to thrive while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think quickly and logically to resolve issues.
- Diverse knowledge across various IT disciplines to learn and resolve situations as needed will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and use with SharePoint, Azure, Exchange and MS Online modules.
**Desired Skills**:
- Knowledge of Sophos AV and Firewall or related solutions.
- Server and Desktop (Mac & Windows) Troubleshooting knowledge.
- Basic computer hardware troubleshooting and fixing.
- IT assets register setup and maintenance.
- Basic Network Router and Wi-Fi support and troubleshooting.
- Support ISO audit related to Physical controls.
- Desktop Support in Active Directory Environment, preferably with a mix of Windows and macOS client hosts.
- Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 productivity suite administration.
- Using and maintaining procedural documentation.
- Desktop support troubleshooting methods and tools.
- Ethernet fundamentals, TCP/IP fundamentals, Remote Access VPN, and IP protocol suites used in typical enterprise LAN environments.
- IT Best Practice, ITSM, IT operational control, and Information Security awareness.
- Knowledge of PowerShell and use with SharePoint, Azure, Exchange and MS Online modules.
