This role demands a blend of leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach. The Lodge Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the property, ensuring an unforgettable guest experience while maintaining the lodge's high standards.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position at a 4 or 5-star bush lodge
- An individual with a passion for hospitality
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of Afrikaans and Zulu is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, delegation, and training skills
- Ability to manage a team of 25 staff members effectively
- Computer literacy and competence in stock and equipment management
- Hands-on approach with the ability to handle pressure and lead by example
- Experience in guest hosting and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a focus on budget control
- Experience in guest check-in/out procedures, guest relations, and maintaining high standards of service
- Knowledge of labour laws (BCEA, LRA) and proven staff management experience
- Ability to oversee maintenance, including vehicles, roads, bush, solar systems, and more
- Experience in managing housekeeping and F&B departments, ensuring cost efficiency
- Stable employment history with contactable references
- Sober habits and a strong work ethic

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all lodge operations, ensuring seamless service delivery
- Supervise staff, manage HR functions, and coordinate training programs
- Oversee guest relations, ensuring every detail enhances the guest experience
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain the lodge’s immaculate condition
- Handle all aspects of maintenance, from scheduling to preventative measures
- Report monthly to non-resident owners/executive members on lodge operations and points of interest
- Lead by example, ensuring all departments, including rooms division, housekeeping, and F&B, meet the required standards
