**Job Advert Summary**:
Hellotwo exciting new opportunity has just become available in our **Insure, Operations area.** We are looking to recruit a **Stolen Vehicle Recoveries Consultant (Motor).**

**Role Objectives**:
To source new, used and alternative vehicle parts for the Hollard Group in order to reduce the cost of these inputs in the repair process. Monitor and manage parts delays and disruptions. Liaise with business units, negotiate with parts suppliers and stakeholders. Monitor assessor’s costs and compliance and perform ad hoc duties where necessary.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Unicode**:

- Use Unicode as a central database to register all Hollard stolen/hijacked vehicles.
- Ensure that Unicode is updated correctly with the stolen vehicle information.
- Ensure that Hollard’s interest is noted on the SA Police system.
- Daily checks on Unicode with vehicles impounded by the SA Police.
- Daily checks on Unicode with stolen vehicle status change.
- Check and confirm the status change and report the change to the responsible department or broker and/or Account Manager.

**Networking**:

- Liaison with SA Police, Metro Police, Cross Border Police, Interpol, The Insurance Crime Bureau, Upliftment agents.

**Upliftment of Stolen and Recovered Vehicles**:

- Confirm vehicle recovery information
- Appoint agents to collect and uplift stolen and recovered vehicles from police pounds.
- Assist the SA Police and the Upliftment Agents with the identification of stolen and recovered vehicles.
- Assist the Insured with the identification of the stolen and recovered vehicle.
- Ensure that the upliftment agents are following the correct process with the upliftment of Hollard recovered vehicles.
- Ensure the agents invoice in accordance to the SLA.

**Salvage Management**:

- Assist Hollard partners with the management of salvage.
- Assist the Salvage Dealers with the management of Hollard salvage.
- Assist the Salvage Dealers with salvage related problems.
- Assist the Salvage Dealers when there are document related problems on E-Natis.
- Assist when vehicles are cloned.
- Ensure that Salvage Dealers are following the SAIA code of conduct about salvage.

**General**:

- Liaison with Intermediaries, internal and external service providers, clients, claims department, panel beater, towers and SA Police Service.
- Acknowledge incoming work from internal clients and service. To discuss, negotiate and agree release fees with external providers and clients, verbally and telephonically, (Clients, Panel Beaters and Towers), and ensure to have appropriate diary system in place for follow up and feedback.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work in terms of incoming work, work distribution, process and output by updating the line of business regularly with feedback.
- Escalate recommendations to line managers, where out of mandate, in terms of cost effectiveness for certain decisions. Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of vehicle registration, appropriated documents, coding of vehicles, filing of documents to ensure correct policies and procedures are followed in terms of the SAIA Code for salvage. Record the movement of each document in the relevant book, signature and notes on system.
- Adhere to policies within the organisation on Record Management and ensure all security documentation is locked away after business hours.
- Manage the invoicing to salvage dealers on all requests to sell the vehicles and have reconciliation process in place.
- Ensure all payments are captured once confirmation is received from Salvage contractors. Ensure to meet financial targets in terms of budget by negotiating with stakeholders for all requests and or discounts. To communicate and liaise with internal and external providers, telephonically verbally and in writing in a professional manner. Ensure to comply with SLA’s, Internal and External, Procurement agreements with service providers and any other agreed time lines.
- Supply feedback to service providers, clients and other departments involved with all claims being handled and ensure that quality and customer experience is maximised for customer feedback. Communicate, solve and escalate clients concerns and supply feedback to all relevant business and external stakeholders.
- Sound stock in bond management with weekly feedback to intermediaries and partners. Manage day to day salvage queries with feedback to business, service providers and clients.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- At least 5 years’ experience within insurance claims, salvage and stolen vehicle recovery.
- Intermediate word processing skills using Microsoft Word, Outlook and excel i.e. Instructions to salvage dealer, letters to banks
- At least 5 years’ experience and understanding of processes at licensing departments
