Helloan exciting new opportunity has just become available in our Insure Operations (Claims Procurement) area. We are looking to recruit a GM: Procurement (Motor & Non-Motor Claims).
**Role Objectives**:
To manage all Contracts & Procurement relating to Motor & Non-Motor Claims in line with the Group’s overall purpose and vision. This includes compliance with transformation targets, continuous improvement, cost and efficiency drivers as well as managing overall customer experience for this commodity.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Direction implementation**:
Implement the Motor & Non-Motor claims strategy in line with the Group’s and Insure’s overall Procurement strategy. Manage suppliers e.g. Vehicle recovery, Motor body repair (Structural and Non Structural) as well as Motor Salvage and Car Hire, Structural, building repairs and Household content replacement. Provide leadership to the commodity specialist teams.
**Supplier Selection**:
Adjudication of tenders and selection of suppliers in line with the Group’s goals. Regularly review and monitoring of service levels. Providing feedback to internal and external stakeholders. Lead complex supplier negotiations
**Supplier Maintenance**:
Periodic review of suppliers
Dispute resolution
Rotation of Panel Suppliers
**Stakeholder management & Contract innovation**:
Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of the impact of potential deals and assist with the implementation of a new provider or structure.
**Continuous Improvement**:
Continuously look for ways of reducing the average cost of claim and analyze the shortcomings in the existing process or deal structure and find innovative solutions.
Identify areas of improvement and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.
**Reporting**:
Periodic reporting to relevant stakeholders in line with KPIs/Dashboard
Review monthly and quarterly dashboard
**Employee growth**:
Actively engage with direct reports on their career development and training requirements. Take responsibility for own career growth and have regular discussions with the relevant role players. Manage the performance and efficiency of direct reports and ensure that resourcing is effectively and efficiently in place to deliver on desired outcomes. Provide formal and informal coaching to team and give direction and guidance.
**Decision Making**:
Make recommendations and take decisions on Procurement functions within mandates while ensuring full compliance to all processes, policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement.
**Customer Service**:
Ensure customers are treated fairly and that TCF management is done in conjunction with the Academy. Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to the service standards as set by the company.
Implement & monitor a NPS methodology or system across the procurement value chain and monitor the results monthly in order to enhance process, service, system or deal structure. Required Knowledge and Experience
At least 10 years Procurement or relevant experience of which 7 at a senior managerial level
Financial Services Industry Experience will be recommended
In-depth understanding of the Insurance drivers within the Motor Industry
In depth knowledge of the Motor Industry as far as Insurance Procurement is concerned
Working knowledge of the different components within the motor industry.
Sound understanding of the business of different stakeholder within the insurance value chain.
Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance issues pertinent to the Procurement & Financial Services Industry. BBBEE
Business acumen, particularly Short Term Insurance
Educational Requirements
Matric / NQF 4
Degree in Supply Chain or relevant equivalent qualification
Post graduate qualification would be advantageous
Registered with a relevant accredited professional body
