**Role summary**:
In our quest for marketing greatness, we’re on the lookout for bright talent looking for a chance to show their worth. It could be live tweeting the Soweto Derby with pinpoint meme accuracy, or compiling and publishing a blog post on the weekend’s sporting highlights.

We’re expanding the team in our action packed creative marketing lab. If your high intensity work ethic is matched by a burning passion for sport, Bet.co.za’s multiskilled digital marketing mentorship could just be for you.

The best sport happens on the weekend, so don’t expect a Monday-Friday 9-5. Working hours are managed in line with the sporting calendar. You will have front row seats to follow it all in our sweet office view room.

Knowledge and passion for sports is a must - the textbooks and classes can teach you the marketing skills you need, but understanding sport is the street smart we need.

You’ll be on trial for the real thing - whilst getting paid you will essentially be on trial with a view to being permanently employed after 6 months. Impress the coach and you’ll be a permanent fixture in the starting line-up.

**Daily Responsibilities**:
For the most part, we are an in-house marketing agency for the brand. This means you will have the chance to try out each aspect that makes our team tick:

- **Content**:

- Become a contributor to our own published sports site, Bet Central. Learn how to curate, edit and publish slick sports focussed content aimed at the sports betting market.
- **Social Media** - We love social media for both advertising our brand and engaging with sporting nuts across the country. Get a taste of both community management and paid media management. Understanding and experience in knowing the difference between Meta, X, IG and their stories, even if it is on your personal social media accounts that you have had some practise on.
- **Design**:

- If you haven’t seen our Instagram game, then you’re sleeping. Learn to design for brand communication and creative brilliance all focussed on sports and sports betting.
- **Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint experience -** Familiarity and basic understanding of knowing how to create a PowerPoint presentation vs creating an excel spreadsheet and the formulas that accompany it.
- **Evidence of ability in marketing** - this could be completion of relevant tertiary education, similar work experience, portfolios of relevant work, personal social media or content. We’ll leave this to you to impress us.
- **Aptitude to understand campaign requirements** - as part of the interview process you will be required to execute a variety of marketing elements in line with a set campaign.
- **Ability to work a flexible schedule** - work will be based around the sporting calendar, which means whilst hours worked will be managed in line with your contract, the nature of these will vary throughout the program.
- **Transport to our office** - we are situated in Green Point and will require you to spend a portion of your work time at the office
- Compliance with our remote work policy will be required.
- At the end of your program, you will have developed practical understanding of each area, and given yourself and us the opportunity to see what you can do.
- 0-1 years of experience in digital marketing or related field

**Technical Knowledge / Competencies**
- **Industry Knowledge**:Strong understanding of the gaming and hospitality industry.
- **Betting Technology**:Advanced knowledge of betting technology and products.
- **Contact Centre Operations**:Understanding of contact center operations, including call flow, customer service processes, workforce management, and customer interaction channels.
- **iGaming Regulations**:In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements governing iGaming operations, including licensing, responsible gambling, anti-money laundering (AML), POPIA and FIC.
- **Data Protection and Privacy**: Proficiency in data protection regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and implementation of privacy policies and procedures in iGaming operations.
- **Betting Platforms and Technologies**: Understanding of the technical aspects of sports betting platforms, including odds compilation, live betting functionality, and trading tools.
- **Market Research**: Ability to conduct market research to identify customer preferences, industry analysis, and emerging trends in the sports betting industry.
- **Customer Segmentation**: Understanding of customer segmentation and profiling techniques to tailor marketing strategies and promotions for different customer groups.
- **Betting Marketing Strategies**: Knowledge of marketing strategies specific to the sports betting industry, including customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty programs.
