Do you have a hawk’s eye for detail and a sharp mind equipped to make informed decisions?

We are looking for a detail and deadline orientated accounting student or graduate to join our Claremont team on a fixed term contract as a Finance Assistant, assisting the Accounts Department with processing purchase ledger invoices, purchase orders, creditor control and analysis work.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Accountable to Overhead Business Partner
- Supporting the Finance Business Partner (FBP) by liaising closely with the offshore Finance Shared Service team to ensure consistency and timeliness of reporting are met
- Being responsible for any purchase ledger / accounts payable queries out with shared service team
- Supporting with general advice and direct escalations and queries into finance team
- Supporting FBP with regular reviews of reporting to ensure completeness both in overhead and gross margin
- General banking administration
- Working with Finance Shared Service team and Finance Business Partners to resolve any financial escalations or disputes
- Sourcing and evaluate data to provide insights to assist Finance Business Partners
- Assisting in major change initiatives and other projects, mobilising teams within Finance where required
- Banking and ledger reconciliations
- Any other ad-hoc duties required within the finance function
- Assisting with completion of statutory filing such as tax and VAT

**What you’ll need**:

- Previous experience working in finance department
- Experience of dealing with an offshore shared service team
- Experience in production of regular financial reporting and analysis
- Experience of working in a BPO or call centre environment (desirable)
- Advanced excel skills
- Knowledge of other standard systems such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
