Project Services Intern (South Africa)

**Our Internship Aim and Goal**

The Q² Solutions Internship Programme aims to bring highly motivated individuals with diverse backgrounds to gain knowledge and work experience on clinical studies within the Project Services Department in South Africa.

**Task and Responsibilities**

Provide Support and Activity Monitoring on Clinical Studies
- Support the timely closure of queries
- Monitor study specific and/or client requested requirements
- Assist with the organization and tracking of storage specimens: receipt, retrieval, and shipping as applicable
- Ensure outputs are delivered in line with organizational standards, protocol specific requirements and client expectations

Provide Support to Project Management Team
- Perform generic, routine study duties and tasks that are applicable across designated projects and Protocol phases
- Support the Project Team with the administrative tasks of a study
- Coordinate and communicate with relevant stakeholders as instructed by the study specific team.

Interact with other Functional Areas
- Interact with other functional areas and/or vendors to resolve problems, enhance processes and service delivery.
- Liaise with other departments and support in order to expedite testing of patient’s laboratory specimens and/or provision of kits.
- Coordinate information and communications for designated projects at the site level, including identification and escalation of discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with the development of meeting or training materials where applicable.

Support Maintenance of Project Documentation and Databases
- Support maintenance of project documentation files.
- Support maintenance of internal databases with generic project information and input project specific information, as directed and if applicable.

Process Improvements and Special Assignments
- Participate in internal audits, as required.
- Assist with Project Close-out procedures as required.
- Assist with the development of meeting or training materials where applicable
- Perform other administrative or process-related duties as needed to support the success of a trials

- Personable, able to deal with a variety of people
- Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
- Ability to correctly make decisions involving client issues/ problems including when to escalate
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
- Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment.
- Detail oriented

**Selection Criteria**

South African citizens or South African Permanent Residents (with a valid South African Identity Document).
- Non-South Africans are not eligible to apply;
- Be available for a minimum internship duration of 6 months.
- Demonstrate excellent planning and communication skills.
- Strong Verbal and Communication skills
- Possess solid quantitative and IT skills.
- Live within close proximity to Centurion, Gauteng
