Duties/Pligte This position entails the coordination of a comprehensive institutional marketing and communication equality and HIV strategy for Stellenbosch University that aims to realise an inclusive, value-driven campus, free from unfair discrimination, harassment and victimisation, as well as that the HIV prevention and support services needed for student and staff success are promoted. The post is aimed at establishing and strengthening SU's leadership role with respect to equality and HIV (including gender and sexualities) through the use of communication and marketing.

**Duties include**:

- Strenghtening SU's leadership and institutional communications/marketing on equality, gender, sexualities and HIV within a framework of social justice, health and wellness;
- Coordinating and developing traditional and digital communications/marketing for the EqU and the Centre for Student Counselling and Development (CSCD).

- Versterk die US se leierskap en institusionele kommunikasie/bemarking oor gelykwaardigheid, gender, seksualiteite en MIV binne 'n raamwerk van sosiale geregtigheid, gesondheid en welwees;
- Koördineer en ontwikkel tradisionele en digitale kommunikasie/bemarking binne die EvG en die Sentrum vir Studentevoorligting en -ontwikkeling (SSVO).

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- A postgraduate qualification in communication or a marketing related field, or equivalent proven experience in those fields;
- At least four years' relevant work experience;
- Knowledge of strategic communication campaigns in a contemporary, digital and networked society;
- Proven understanding and experience in integrated marketing and communication operations;
- Knowledge and experience with social media and web-based platforms as a marketing and communication mechanism;
- Experience in writing media releases and articles;
- Knowledge of social justice issues;
- Fluent in two official South African languages (including English);
- Knowledge and experience in facilitation/training;
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, written and verbal communication skills;
- Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and social media;
- The ability to build and sustain relationships and networks with students and staff at all levels;
- The ability to take initiative and to function effectively under pressure.
- 'n Nagraadse kwalifikasie in kommunikasie of 'n bemarkingsverwante veld, of gelykwaardige, bewese ervaring op daardie vakgebiede;
- Minstens vier jaar se toepaslike werkservaring;
- Kennis van strategiese kommunikasie-veldtogte in 'n kontemporêre, digitale en 'n networked¿ samelewing;
- Bewese begrip en ervaring van geïntegreerde bemarking en kommunikasie bedrywighede;
- Kennis en ervaring van sosiale media en webgebaseerde platforms in die konteks van bemarking en kommunikasie;
- Ervaring in die skryf van media vrystellings en artikels;
- Kennis van sosiale geregtigheidskwessies;
- Vlot in twee amptelike Suid-Afrikaanse tale (insluitend Engels);
- Kennis en ervaring in fasilitering/opleiding;
- Uitstekende interpersoonlike-, tydsbestuur-, mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede;
- Gevorderde rekenaarvaardighede in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook en sosiale media;
- Die vermoë om verhoudings en netwerke met studente en personeel op alle vlakke te kan bou;
- Die vermoë om inisiatief te neem en effektief onder druk te funksioneer.
