**Requirements**:

- Relevant Degree (B degree/ BTech in Electrical

Engineering or GIS).
- A minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in the recording and capture

of electricity distribution systems in GIS.
- Extensive supervisory experience.
- Excellent personnel management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- A high degree in computer literacy.
- Relevant GIS courses.
- Relevant CAD courses.
- A valid Code B driver’s licence

Key Performance Areas
- Planning, organising, directing and controlling all technical and

non
- technical functions of the section.
- Evaluating the capability of prospective employees and

participating
in the interviewing and final selection process.
- Monitoring on-site recording of electrical distribution networks.
- Verifying on-site investigations of specific proposed substation sites.
- Monitoring the capture of detailed high/ medium/ low voltage and

public lighting as-built information of cable routes, overhead lines,
substation layouts, and cable joints, etc.
- Initiating the capture of protection drawings for planned and

existing
substations.
- Monitoring compliance to Drawing and Record Centre norms and

data standards.
- Engaging with spatial data sources to promote conformance to

local
and national standards, and directorate policies.
- Validating production of designs for new works (Job Proposals).
- Approving engineering and architectural designs.
- Ensuring the quality and suitability of requirements, comments
