**Role purpose**:
The Key Account Manager will secure new business from their allocated customer list, derived from the strategic set of customers.
Co-ordinate transversal opportunities and contracts nationally with respective Sales Teams and LoB’s
Receives and owns the end-to-end internal Vodacom tender governance process with the bid team
Provide support to the regions in executing the PE Strategy for transversal opportunities
The Key Account Manager will own the lead to cash process for their allocated customer list. The Key Account Manager will be required to maximise revenues with revenue growth being a key performance indicator. The Key Account Manager will also retain and record any and all customer and market intelligence to increase future win opportunity regardless if tenders are successful or unsuccessful.

**Your responsilbilities will include**:
Responsible for managing strategic accounts and delivering profitable, long-term business from transversal relevant to Vodacom Business
Enable revenue growth through maximum participation in each transversal,
Orchestrate development of new transversals for Vodacom’s benefit
Ensures delivery of annual revenue targets through delivery of full product mix
Establishes appropriate relationships with customers in Vodacom and leverages those relationships to ensure maximum financial return from Vodacom customers
Works collaboratively to set up service relationship for nominated accounts
Provide input to help with decisions about new propositions, product mix and services for customers

**Technical / professional qualifications**:
Matric with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Business Development and or Account Management
A 3-year commercial (B. Com/Business Science, IT) Degree or Equivalent qualification with 5 years’ experience in Business Development and or Account Management.

**Core competencies, knowledge, and experience**:
Demonstrated knowledge of Government governance, processes and decision-making structures
Experience in solution sales and relationship management with a track record of solution selling across all spheres of Government, Agencies and SOEs
A broad understanding of the ICT Landscape and Strategic ICT enablers.
A thorough understanding of converged and networking technologies and services.
Demonstrated understanding of important financial concepts, purchasing practices and Government specific aspects of customers.
Understanding of the Value Chain Analysis with regards to various customer businesses
