**JOB SUMMARY**
The Rates and Inventory Co-ordinator will assist in the management of rooms inventory to maintain accurate system information. Assist in implementing agreed to strategies for room authorisations, rates and restrictions, including communicating to properties. Assist in the implementation of hotel sales strategies in the reservation and inventory systems. Escalating technical questions relating to the reservations and property management systems to the correct support desk in a timely manner.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
- Working knowledge of Marriot Systems will be advantageous
- Experience in the Hospitality industry, marketing/reservations department advantageous
- Organizational and administrative skills are essentials
- Extensive use of Excel would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
- Ensure readiness of hotels to migrate to Opera 5.6
- Using the Market Code Audit Tool (MCAT) to identify unused Rate programs and set them for deletion
- Ensuring the correction of the Room Class and the Room Pools on Opera
- MARSHA
- Maintain and update the Hotel VSSM
- Managing Hotel VHAP Policy
- Review existing hotel facts (VIF)
- Implement strategies communicated by RMRS Revenue Manager regarding
- Room Authorizations
- Rates
- Restrictions
- Ensure that the above communicated strategies are effectively implemented in the all relevant systems
- Assist the Revenue Manager in communicating sales strategies and rate restrictions to the property teams
- Ensure compliance and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels
- Understand & promote the working relationship between sales, reservations and property.
- Ensuring the loading of all applicable rate programs on the GDS
- Ensuring that all FIXME rate loading notifications for the property is resolved
- Maintaining the Good Data Standards in all applicable Marriott systems
- Execute pricing through High Performance Pricing
- Load all rate codes in HPP
- Complete all the bookings rules and seasons
- Periodically complete an audit to remove unused rate codes
- Load all promotions with proper set up
- Test sell all public rates built to ensure they are correctly built
- Perform periodical systems audit to maintain accurate information
- Engage with the Revenue Manager when observing that room names and descriptions are not accurate and differentiating for each room pool of the hotel
- Engage with the Revenue to ensure that the rate and offer descriptions are relevant in all systems
- Monitor eChannel participation and ensuring eFast is properly set-up
- Actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
