Winemaker duties typically include:

- Production of high-quality wines
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the production process
- Quality and stock control
- Purchasing of chemicals and other production stock items
- Maintenance and housekeeping
- External liaison and wine tastings
- Personnel management
- Wine administration

**Requirements**:

- A passion for wine
- A degree / diploma in Viticulture and Oenology
- More than 5 years ’experience as a winemaker in a large production cellar
- Proven skills and experience in production management and quality control
- Technical aptitude and working knowledge of winemaking machinery and equipment
- Familiar with ethical, production and quality control systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
- Ability to perform well in both team context and individually
