**ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Technical / Functional skills**
- Experience with Linux - basic installation and operations processes o Linux Shell Scripting

- Deal with performance issues on Linux

- Experience with administrating Java Web-Applications
- Scripting and use of XMLAPI functions
- Work experience with database auditing, logging, and monitoring - ideally knowledge of DAM Tool knowledge about management console handling and senso handling/monitoring
- Database operations knowhow in an enterprise context
- Oracle know-how - Experience with Oracle RDMS basic operations
- SQL Language and Database experience

**ITIL process knowledge and work experience is required**
- Action and resolve IM (Incident Management) tickets.
- Action and resolve CIM (Critical Incident Management) tickets as required.
- Raise and lead tasks PM (Problem Management) tickets as identified.
- Action and coordinate CM (Change Management) tasks and tickets as required.

**ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:

- ITIL certification is advantageous
- Basic experience with SPLUNK is helpful
- Database security knowledge is helpful
- Written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in the creation of Epics/Stories to match the outcomes of the analysis/specifications, thereby defining the (Acceptance Criteria the Definition of Ready and the Definition of Done) criteria.
- Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools
- Knowledge about cloud Technologies
- Problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Agile methodology.
- Experience in developing process flows.
- Knowledge of information system concepts and technologies.
- Ability to interface with the business to meet requirements and targets.
- Knowledge of SLAs and KPIs

**Soft skills**
- Ability to work as part of a team, inter dependant as well as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project
- Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
- PostgreSQL know how would be helpful but not essential

**SERVICE WINDOW**:
**24 x 7 service window for both change and incident handling**
Tickets can be opened as service request or real incident tickets. The solution time is equal for both ticket types. There are no exceptions concerning public holidays.

Service time DAM operations concerning ticket handling:
Critical/High/medium/low: 7*24

Solution time DAM operations concerning incident ticket handling:

- Critical: 1 Std.
- High: 4 Std.
- Medium: 17 Std.
- Low: 35 Std.

Solution time DAM operations concerning service request ticket handling:

- Critical: 1 Std.
- High: 4 Std.
- Medium: 17 Std.
- 35 Std.

**WHICH QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DO WE NEED FOR THE ROLE?**

BA/BS Degree, preferably in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline or the equivalent of 4 years of related professional experience. 3 Years plus in a Mid to Senior role, more than 6 year plus total experience required.

**WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES?**

**Update and maintenance of DAM Tool components (current solution)**
- Management Consoles andSensor software on Oracle Data Base servers
- Kernel Module that fits to the present LINUX OS version on the Oracle DB
- Support updates of DAM Tool on all relevant Oracle DB-Servers in close cooperation with Oracle Change Team.
- Test new software versions and functionality before rolling out in the INT environment and PROD environment.
- Build new installation packages RPMs that dont need full root rights but only a subset.
- Adapt configurations if necessary
- Install and Maintain sensor software on the Oracle Database Servers
- Install/deinstall and maintain the suitable kernel software to the LINUX OS system on the Oracle DB Servers
- Configure DAM software according to BMW requirements
- Conduct functionality tests and performance tests after rolling out
- understand and adapt (if needed) roll out process and change process
- Preparation and adoption of system/technical documentation according to present settings

**Operate DAM Tool in a 24 x 7 manner**
- Monitor functionality of DAM Components
- Make sure that the generated data is delivered to SPLUNK on a regular defined base
- Stop / start sensor, deactivate kernel module in case of problems
- Assure high availability and continuous functionality of DAM
- Prevent instabilities caused by DAM on Oracle
- Make sure that the DAM sensor is rolled out on every new Oracle DB server and every database is monitored
- tight communication and cooperation with relevant interface partners

**Engage with support providers regarding Oracle/LINUX operational topics and oversee all planned and ongoing tasks and activities that could have an influence / impact on the DAM Tool.**
