**FINANCE DIRECTOR: AFRICA Cape Town, SA OR Nairobi, Kenya**

**Renowned Global Engineering **firm is in search of an innovative, technically sound and effective FD to assist the COO in all financial reporting and analysis relating to their **Africa Division.**

**Main Purpose of the role**:
Through providing strategic and operational input, ensure the Group processes and procedures are followed consistently throughout the Division.

**Reporting Lines**:
Divisional COO, Africa and Group Financial Controller

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Corporate Reporting and Management**:

- Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of the Divisional Financial Results on a monthly basis.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports for the COO
- Co-ordination and preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the Division
- Reviewing and analysing monthly subsidiary reporting packages and ensuring monthly reconciliations are prepared and reviewed monthly
- Monitoring Lockup and assisting in the reporting and recovery of large, aged debts
- Assisting the COO in analysing Divisional results and driving the Division forward

**Internal controls, systems, policies and procedures**
- Working proactively to identify and drive change in the Division to improve financial performance
- Having a hands-on approach to working with the operational and financial teams throughout the Division

**Taxation**:

- Ensuring the Groups Tax Procedures are followed; appropriate taxes are paid and tax refunds are chased on a timely basis

**Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience required**:

- ** Qualified Accountant**:

- **Minimum 10-15 years proven and relevant finance reporting and management experience gained within a Multi-National **with relevant experience gained on an **Executive level**:

- Above experience ideally gained within the **global engineering or global consulting or infrastructure related arena**:

- Experience with **foreign exchange and consolidations**:

- Experience **preparing or reviewing internal financial reports and statutory financial reports**:

- Proven and solid **taxation knowledge **is essential
- Computer literate (experience of **Epicor (EBO) and/or BST Financials** preferable)
- Solid and proven **MS Excel **knowledge and skills
- Experience gained in **managing / leading** a finance team
- ** Requirement to travel
