**ROLE DESCRIPTION**: We are looking for a Learning and Development senior Manager to design and develop a learning strategy with appropriate learning solutions in one or more business areas by consulting with key stakeholders across the business to identify learning needs; interpret business learning needs and driving the execution of learning experiences including formal, social and experiential learning. The Learning framework will comprise of technical, behavioural and leadership competencies to ensure a holistic approach to learning and development.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Co-create a learning strategy for the business in partnership with Heads of Business & People and Culture supported by capability building requirements.
- Lead the implementation and execution of the Learning and Development strategy across the business.
- Foster engagement with the Cognia Team to create interest and participation in Wellness initiatives.
- Actively research new ways of fostering wellness within our organisation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and leaders to establish plans, systems, processes and requirements.
- Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online, formal and classroom learning)
- Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings.
- Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
- Help line managers to develop their team members through career pathing.
- Track budgets and negotiate contracts.
- Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
- Manage training budget.
- Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
- Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
- Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behaviour.
- Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes.
**Performance Management**
- Review PDP’s of team members and identify appropriate learning and coaching solutions.
**Employee Wellness**
- Expand current Wellness Strategy and enable delivery of wellness and mental health programme.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
HR Degree or Adult education qualification.
- Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar with a minimum of 5 years relevant prior experience.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
- Experience in project management and budgeting.
- Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen.
- Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors.
- Proven experience in designing multiple training initiatives in a corporate setting.
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles.
