**Booking out of firearms**:

- Report on duty and conduct the booking out of firearms to members on shift.
- Ensure that the firearms booked out to members are in correct working order and clean.
- Ensure the ammunition issued to members is not deformed in any manner.
- Ensure that the members produce their SIRA and firearm competency for verification by you before issuing a firearm to the member.
- Ensure that the firearm permit is completed and issued to the members in the prescribed manner.
- Ensure that members have the prescribed holsters /slings for the firearm issued to them.
- Ensure that all firearm registers are completed and is kept safely in the safe for inspection
- Ensure that a detailed stock register is available at all times for the firearms and ammunition.
- Ensure that there is a register for all defected ammunition/ weapons as well as all damaged security equipment and ensure that the mentioned registers are updated regularly.
- **Posting sheets and time sheets.**:

- Ensure that all sites are covered as per the full complement of the site.
- Ensure that the posting sheet is completed and signed off by you.
- Ensure that officer’s time sheet is signed off by the inspectors during parade.
- All members reporting late for duty as well as members absconding/ leaving early should be clearly stated on the time sheet in this regard.
- **Shift parade (Day/Night).**:

- All members reporting for shift must be present during parade.
- All members must be in full uniform and this needs enforced by you. Non compliance will not be acceptable and will reflect directly on you.
- All issues pertaining the guarding division must be addressed during parade.
- All instructions/ circulars/ memos from the operations office must be addressed to members during parade.
- Strict discipline must be adhered to at all times, the members need to be informed, reminded and trained on this matter.
- Ensure that members are posted to and from site by inspectors.
- Ensure that all sites are covered with the full complement of guards.
- **Training of officers.**:

- During parade, basic training should be given to the security officers. This training will consist of new instructions, refresher on standard operating procedures, member’s discipline, and induction of new members.
- **Other tasks.**:

- Daily meetings with supervisors checking up on their daily tasks and duties.
- Visit all sites and interact with clients, providing solutions to their problems.
- Always keep the operations Manger up to date and fully informed regarding and incidents.
- Always ensure that all incidents are documented in the control room O.B as well as in an incident report form.
- Ensure all firearm control registers are completed and kept in a safe
- Ensure that all security equipment is accounted for and has a register that clearly indicates stock purchased/ balance carried over, issued to whom and current balance.
- Ensure that there is always availability of operations documents.
- Inspect all company vehicles on a weekly basis and complete a check list which must be handed over to the operations manager.
- All vehicles undergoing repairs should be overseen by you.
- All client problems should be forwarded to the operations manager.

**Experience**:

- Security management: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Code 8 drivers license (preferred)
