IT Manager

**JOB PURPOSE**
The IT Manager will manage the organization's information technology environment, with specific responsibility for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft-related technologies, including Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, O365, M365, AD, HyperV, Defender, and Intune. The role will also include managing a range of other technology areas, such as firewalls, mobile handheld devices, client hardware, managed print services, backup, disaster recovery, and networks (LAN and WAN).

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and develop infrastructure solutions
- Assess and manage risks associated with new solutions or tools
- Procure technology and manage vendor relationships
- Stay up-to-date with emerging Microsoft technologies and industry trends
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and management of IT budgets, including capital and operational costs
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Microsoft technology systems
- Manage and lead a team of IT professionals (including third party service providers)
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including data privacy and security
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of solutions and make recommendations for improvements
- Monitor and maintain network and data security
- Maintain IT infrastructure and equipment
- Develop and maintain hardware inventory and asset management systems
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware issues
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to ensure new employees have necessary equipment and access
- Manage user accounts and permissions, including offboarding processes.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Qualification**
NQF 6 IT qualification (IT infrastructure)

**Experience**
- 3-5 years experience as a IT Operations Manager managing Microsoft technology systems
- Expertise in Microsoft infrastructure, including Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, O365, M365, AD, HyperV, Defender and Intune
- Familiarity with firewalls, mobile handheld devices, client hardware, managed print services, disaster recovery, and networks (LAN and WAN)
- Familiarity with industry-standard and IT frameworks, suck as ITIL and COBIT
