**Human Capital Officer - 6 months Contract**
**Reporting to**
**Human Capital Manager**
**Job Purpose**
To render a support service to the HC Department by collecting, collating
and distributing HC / Payroll-related / employee information and monthly reports
according to deadlines, policies and procedures. The role involves a strong
administrative focus, as well as sound employee relations capabilities
related to engagements and coordination with internal and external
stakeholders (employees, line managers, trade unions and service providers etc.)
**Required Learning**
- **Appropriate Degree or equivalent Diploma (inclusive of HR and Industrial Relations).**:
- **Minimum of 5 years related Employee Relations working experience** within similar environment will be advantageous.
- **Knowledge and proven track record in implementation of human capital development **and workplace improvement initiatives (e.g. employee relations, recruitment, transformation, organizational development.
- **Experience in dispute resolution processes at all levels within the Organisation.**
**Key Job Outputs**
**Recruitment**
- Provide Support to Line with Recruitment procedures and processes.
- Facilitate take on administration - Drawing up SRF, Request for LOA, Set up and conduct Interviews, Draw up and issue letters of appointment
- Engage with Recruiters in relation to vacancies
**Transformation**
- Ensure monitoring and evaluation of EE Plans/Targets
- Ensure that Forum Structures are fully functional. Set up
- Employment Equity Meetings and take minutes
- Assist with buy in and implementation of action plans to attain Business Transformation targets
- Ensure Adherence to Preferential Procurement Policy Compile EE Reports
**Employee Relations/Industrial Relations**
- Provide guidance on disciplinary procedures to line managers
- Good knowledge and understanding of labour legislation
- Setup MGT/Union meetings and take minutes
- Attend to grievances and set up meetings
- Assist Line Managers with disciplinary action - ensure consistency and fairness
- Update and keep employee disciplinary record
- Effective dispute resolution mechanisms
- Effective dispute management at Bargaining Councils, Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration
**Capacity Building**
- Develop, execute and monitor succession/personal development plans
- Implement and measure training initiatives in line with skills development plan
- Targeted training in line with gap analysis and business needs
- Performance Management
- Assist in ensuring that performance management process is understood and fully
- implemented.
**Data Integrity**
- Accurate reporting on all relevant HC initiatives
- Analytical skills to interrogate HC metrics, e.g. headcount, staff turnover, performance management, demographics, employment equity
- Ensure that the SAGE People Management system is effectively monitored and maintained
- Update Company Organograms
- Ensure effective communication processes with all employees
- General Administration
- Assist employees with all queries.
- Liaise with payroll department and fund administrators
- Manager Disability Claims and Administration
- Process monthly payroll input and ensure that SAGE is updated with payroll processing input.
