Principal Technician

**Requirements**:

- National Diploma in Built environment
- Qualification in Project Management is advantageous
- At least 5 years’ relevant project management

experience
- Valid driver’s license
- SAP Literate
- Computer Literate - MS Office Application
- Willingness to travel extensively within the

City of Cape Town

Key Performance Areas
- Manage the development of infrastructure projects
- Establishing and maintaining business relationship

with all relevant stakeholders
- Managing the effective execution of Public/Private

Development projects of functional area in order to

maximise compliance
- Provide Technical support by Scrutinising and

evaluating designs in order to assess the impact

upon existing service infrastructure and recommending

appropriate action.
- Supervise and control the outcomes associated with

the utilization, productivity and performance of the units’

human resources.
- Participating in the induction programme and, providing

'on the job' training for new recruits to the department
