Requirements:

  • A relevant National Diploma or higher or N6 plus additional two (2)
years' post-qualification experience or a three-year

Telecommunication Electrician type (example - P&T Trade test)

qualification plus additional two (2) years' post-qualification

experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years (for Senior) and five (5) years (for
Principal) relevant industry experience in telecommunications

facilities high sites (masts, containers, BMS, etc.) repairs and

maintenance

  • Supervisory experience for Principal role
  • Experience in maintenance of switching centres (UPS, cooling,
generators, etc.) will be an added advantage

  • Experience in leading a vendor or inhouse telecoms facilities and
high sites repair teams would be an advantage

  • Valid Code B driver's licence.
Key Performance Areas

  • Undertake and lead technical activities within the Switching
Facilities and High Sites infrastructure maintenance and repairs

  • Provide quality supervision and control of maintenance and repairs
of the City's switching facilities and high sites

  • Ensure asbuilt information submitted accordingly for update;
ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and guidelines, provide

feedback to management

  • Design Interpreting: Review and interpret the drawings/plans
specifying changes in records or as-built information

  • Coordinate the daytoday activities of broadband switching
facilities and high sites infrastructure maintenance as well as

contractors involved in the supply and update of information in order

to fulfil delivery commitments of the section

  • Provide support to project management and operations
management as required to ensure commitments are met by City

vendors

  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
