**Main purpose**:
In coordination with the group's digital department, the role of the data department is to structure the personal data of users of the company's products and the performance data of these same products. The data service also ensures the provision of this data to help the other services and the clusters of the company in communication with users and in decision-making.

**Main purpose of the position**:
To develop data-oriented systems to meet organisation’s or the research team needs. The duties include developing systems, procedures and policies for data management in the organisation, assisting colleagues in performing data-related tasks, and networking with clients and all relevant stakeholders in clusters within the Trace Global Team.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:
Creating and enforcing policies for effective data management

**Implementation of the Group's global data strategy**: construction and operation of the unified database in compliance with legal standards; Defining and monitoring of compliance with internal data collection and sharing standards
Devising and implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis with attention to all technical aspects

**Operational management of the Trace database**: structuring and verification of the accuracy and legitimacy of the data made available by our technical partners and collected by the company's departments and clusters. Preparation for the exploitation of the data.
Set up the gateways between the database and the upstream or downstream systems in the data flow (data acquisition sources, CRM, Business Intelligence tool)
Set up reports for the Business Intelligence tool in collaboration with the departments and clusters

**Data evangelization with the service and cluster managers**: coordination, skill building, monitoring of operational relays, setting of objectives, and performance monitoring in the various countries where the group is established.
Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses
Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications

**Education and professional experience**:
BSc/BA degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or relevant field.
Certified data management professional (CDMP) certification would be highly advantageous.
Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in data management and/or data analysis.
6-8 years thorough and proven understanding of data management and administrative policies

**Technical skills**:
Excellent understanding of data administration
Experience with data management functions (collection, analysis, distribution, etc.)
Understanding and experience with modern database and information systems technologies
Proficiency in SQL-like query languages and database management tools.
Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms.
Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite (Power BI, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

**Languages**: proficiency in French and Portuguese would be advantageous but not a prerequisite
