Production Planning Clerk

The Operations Team is responsible for the procurement of raw materials, as well as the planning and forecasting of the company’s diverse and extensive product offering. Because we own our supply chain, we are constantly driving innovation to ensure a solution-driven, team approach with a core focus of providing our customers with exceptional products and excellent service.
The Planning Clerk is responsible for the processing of orders required for the production of Finished Goods. This includes, Purchase Order creation, the Allocation of Raw Materials and all required processes of getting the order ready for the Fabric Marking Team. Achieving daily targets (KPI’s) is critical for this team to ensure constant, on time work supply to the Fabric Stores and Cutting Room at in Manufacturing.
**The main responsibilities of the role include**:
- Creation of Purchase orders required by the finished goods Forecasting team.
- Creation of Marker Planners (Factory Order Creation).
- Creation of Purchase Orders and Sales Orders for Raw Materials required by the Factory.
- Ensuring orders are created and processed accurately according to the schedule planned per day (Draw Works).
- Updating the status of orders on the Manufacturing Planning system, Fast React.
- Working very closely with the Planning, Marking, Forecasting and Warehousing teams to ensure a constant flow of work to the Fabric Marking Team in order to ensure consistent work supply to Jonsson Manufacturing as per Fast React timelines.
- To analyse and inform the Forecasting team when there are potential raw material shortage issues.
- Daily queries with Planning, Marking, Forecasting or Jonsson Manufacturing.
**The experience we’re looking for**:
- Matric with 2 years experience in the Clothing Industry.
- Clothing or têxtiles’ sector experience, advantageous.
- Computer literate in MS Office and Excel.
- Syspro system experience would be a plus.
