**Head of Marketing**

**Job purpose**:
Responsible for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa marketing activities across HARTMANN product lines: develops locally the marketing policy, in close cooperation with the Managing Director and Group Business Division internal stakeholders, moreover, implements it in order to achieve the set objectives (both turnover and EBIT) with the local marketing team, based on both HARTMANN Group and South African strategy, in accordance with the allocated marketing budget and the quarterly consensus targets.

**Your area of responsibility**:

- Conducts market research and competitor analysis
- Identifies target markets
- Elaborates and monitors the marketing strategy according to the Group guidelines and in close cooperation with the Managing Director, Sales Managers of the inpatient and outpatient channels and Corporate Business Divisions Directors
- Develops, implements and evaluates the marketing plan with activities aimed at increasing sales and maximizing profit
- Manages and controls marketing budgets
- Collaborates with other departments in the company to optimize the Marketing mix
- Has overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
- Represents the company during external meetings (SAMED, etc...)
- Manages the Marketing staff that report to them and take care of their company professional growth with the support of HR Center of Excellence
- Ensures the proper execution of their tasks and projects
- Ensures coaching, motivation and skills’ development
- Maintains a positive, effective and close dialogue with the international marketing team and participates in international meetings
- Reports regularly to the Managing Director South Africa, to whom they report, on the evolution and results of the different activities and planned projects, sales results, market situation (and the main KPIs)
- Create specific advertising and PR plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Responsible for planning marketing-related projects, and managing external marketing partners and vendors

**What we look for**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the role, or similar, in B2B and B2C Marketing
- Marketing knowledge in both Outpatient and Inpatient contexts is required.
- Global knowledge of the different product lines
- Good commercial spirit
- Market knowledge
- Knowledge of products and services related to their area of responsibility, medical knowledge
- Strength of conviction/ability to gain buy-in, with Customer focus
