Requested is Area sales Manager for gears and drives in sub-Sahara AFRICA.
Technical Sales Manager position is responsible for driving the sales of our gears spare parts, service, replacement and projects in cement and mining industry.
This is an individual contributor role working within our team “pod” structure reporting to the Head of Sales for the Sub Sahara Africa, Middle East, India and south Asia Region.
**Your responsibilities**:
Follow the company safety rules.
- Follow the company vision.
- Increase the install base of our high-performance gears Brand in the cement and mining industries.
- Follow the huge existing install base of our gears brand in the different countries in AFRICA.
- Arrange the spare parts and the yearly services and overhauls.
- Periodical business travel and Act as the customers point of contact, building and maintaining strong relationships known for
- excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share; build value propositions
- and ROI to differentiate the company.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximize sales potential and draft proposals.
- Visit installation sites to consult with customers on equipment operations, replacement
- requirements and pending scope of work.
- Maintain comprehensive account plans for our key accounts.
- Prepare the sales strategies to fulfil the assigned budget.
- Manage expense account to keep costs in line with budgeted regional target while adhering
- to defined budget guidelines.
**What you bring**:
- B.S. degree in Engineering and 8+ years of experience technical selling in the cement/mining industry in multinational companies’ environment.
- Knowledge of industry & cement process equipment with specific knowledge and working experience on spare parts and services.
- Proactive nature with effective communication & presentation skills in English written & spoken
- French speaking is plus with strong problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to travel, 70-80% of time should be spent conducting visits to our customers.
- Ideal residential location would be in south Africa or Nigeria.
- Territory of coverage will be select cement/mining accounts in Sub Sahara Africa.
- Direct engagement and cement knowledge of these markets within this region as well as other
- industrial plants are a plus.
