The main purpose of this position is to manage the governance function for the Loan Scheme to ensure that all related financial information is valid, accurate and complete.
Detailed Description
Continuously review the Loan Scheme processes throughout the scheme’s life cycle and drive the end-to-end implementation of any agreed changes.
- Provide a secretariat and administrative function to the Loan Scheme Governance Committee (LSGC), and the Loan Guarantee Scheme (LGS) and Bounce-back Scheme (BBS) Subcommittee, including the preparation of meeting packs and managing the implementation of the actions that arise from the committee meetings.
- Conduct an analysis of loan data and produce relevant reports and dashboards with insights and trends on the performance of the Loan Schemes.
- Produce the biannual LGS and BBS Subcommittee operational report and present parts thereof to the LSGC.
- Manage the relationships between the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and the respective borrower banks, including the management of timely reporting by banks, the timely resolution of any issues identified during the reporting process and attendance to any other ad hoc queries, to ensure that borrowers perform in line with expectations and that the SARB meets its obligations to borrowers.
- Generate management information, presentations, submissions to the Governors’ Executive Committee (GEC), top-of-mind and any other reports, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of information.
- Engage at varying levels of seniority with the relevant stakeholders within the SARB Group and external parties.
Job Requirements
a Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent qualification; and
- a minimum of two to five years’ experience in an accounting or banking services environment.
