Travelopia is headquartered in the UK and is one of the world’s leading specialist travel groups providing customers with unique travel experiences. This includes private jet and polar expeditions, sailing yacht, and river boat charter holidays, adventure travel, and safaris. Travelopia has 8 main business units, revenue over £1 billion and is owned by KKR, a global investment fund.
**The role**
As a Commercial Analytics Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening our commercial capabilities across the Group. As a key member of the central commercial team, you will work closely with both the central FP&A team and the FP&A teams within our business units. Your primary responsibility will be to improve commercial insight across the organisation by developing and refining customised commercial dashboards (KPIs) and synthesizing data to deliver actionable insights.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- **Commercial KPIs (dashboards) development**:
- Create and refine dashboards tailored to the needs of each business unit, focusing on unit-economics profitability, discounting, ancillary revenue etc.
- Use ERP systems (SAP, Oracle HFM) and reservation systems data to ensure accurate reporting.
- Leverage Power BI to design visual and informative dashboards that drive decision-making.
- **Commercial Data Analysis and Insights**
- Synthesize data sets to bring insights that support decision making.
- Analyse the data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to collaborators at all levels of the organization.
- **Collaboration and Relationship Building**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with finance teams across business units and the finance team.
- Network and collaborate effectively to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a liaison between the central commercial team and finance teams to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- **Best Practices and Case Studies**
- Develop and share process case studies to promote improvement and knowledge sharing across business units.
- Play a role in fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.
- Prepare and present reports on performance, insights, and recommendations to business unit leadership teams.
- Ensure all reports and presentations are accurate and timely, and effectively communicate key messages.
**What we are looking for**:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Analyst or in a similar analytical role, able to contribute to critical thinking on commercial reporting and insights.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI and experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar financial systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize sophisticated data and derive actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish relationships and collaborate optimally across diverse teams.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
