Vivo Energy South Africa are looking for an IT Business Relationship Manager to join their team

As an Experienced IT Business Relationship Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our commercial and corporate business functions and the IT department. You will be responsible for understanding the business needs of these functions, identifying opportunities, and translating them into effective IT solutions. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between stakeholders, business users, and the IT team to ensure alignment and successful delivery of IT initiatives.

This includes the co-creation of business cases, lobbying for funding, and programme governance and oversight once programmes are underway. You will also be responsible for embedding the technology once it has been delivered, as well as ensuring solutions provide the envisioned business value and strategic outcome.

**Relationships**:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the commercial and corporate business functions, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters and proactively identify opportunities for IT innovation and improvement within the commercial and corporate functions.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand their objectives, challenges, and processes, and align IT strategies accordingly.
- Advocate for business needs within the IT department and ensure that IT initiatives support the company's overall goals for the commercial and corporate functions.

**IT Strategy and Planning**:

- Collaborate with business partners in the commercial and corporate functions to define and prioritize IT projects and initiatives in line with their respective objectives.
- Develop and maintain an IT roadmap that aligns with the strategic goals of the commercial and corporate functions.
- Provide input and recommendations on technology trends, advancements, and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency within these functions.
- Co-create business cases for IT initiatives and lobby for funding to support their implementation.

**Project Management and Delivery**:

- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

**Vendor Management**:

- Evaluate and select external vendors, contractors, and service providers, as needed, to support IT initiatives within the commercial and corporate functions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships effectively within these functions.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience (5 to 10 years) as an IT Business Relationship Manager, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP implementation and support (preferred).
- Knowledge of mapping out and understanding business processes and the ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
