Our client is seeking an experienced and competent General Manager with previous F&B experience in a wildlife setting. The General Manager will oversee critical aspects of general management, staff development, and performance. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the property's reputation aligned with the MFC brand. **KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:
**GENERAL MANAGEMENT**
- Regularly meet with the General Manager of Operations to provide updates on property operations.
- Attend necessary meetings with the MFC Leadership team.
- Uphold and maintain the MFC brand image at the property level.
- Act as a key ambassador for MFC and its brands, hosting site inspections, engaging with the market, and interacting with journalists.
- Ensure compliance with established MFC and property standards.
- Maintain an effective management structure aligned with current hospitality trends.
- Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with managers and HODs.
- Assist in filling vacant management positions.
- Facilitate optimal procurement agreements for the property and MFC.
- Ensure the property remains innovative in guest experience and aligned with industry trends.
- Responsively address guest queries and complaints constructively.

**DEVELOPMENT & STAFF MANAGEMENT**
- Identify and develop individuals displaying potential for higher positions within the property and MFC group.
- Implement training programs and coordinate with internal and external trainers.
- Support cross-property training opportunities for employees.
- Provide effective leadership, including mediation, to subordinates.
- Participate in Operations forums to align management teams and foster teamwork.

**PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT**
- Drive the implementation of MFC Performance Management and Succession Planning processes.
- Effectively implement the MFC Performance Management system.
- Define company/property KPIs in collaboration with senior management and HODs.
- Define personal KPIs for staff members in consultation with HODs.
- Organize and participate in Performance Planning discussions and Reviews.
- Conduct regular, meaningful performance appraisals with follow-ups on action plans.

**COMMUNITY**
- Establish and support community partnerships to present the property positively to relevant stakeholders.

**REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in a wildlife setting.
- Strong financial acumen and computer literacy, with experience in monthly financial reporting and budgeting.
- F&B background is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Possess a valid Code 08 driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, high standards, and excellent hygiene principles.
- Embrace a guest-focused philosophy with commitment to the MORE brand and experience.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a focus on honest communication.

**Salary**: R50,000.00 - R75,000.00 per month
