You will spearhead a dynamic team tasked with delving into motor claims investigations. In this pivotal role, thorough examinations of claims are conducted, to guarantee strict compliance with Company SOP’s and Regulatory mandates. Positioned at a senior level, the emphasis lies on propelling continuous enhancements, eradicating discrepancies, minimizing rework, mitigating risk exposure, and elevating the overall customer journey. The incumbent will be responsible to offer continuous training and development of staff. As an expert, your primary focus will be on leading a team of five desktop investigators to achieve desired outcomes.

**Your responsibilities include**:

- Providing oversight and management of the team
- Conducting regular reviews of claims individually and collaboratively within teams to assess the claim process and investigation techniques
- Ensuring team members meet set targets and uphold quality standards through diligent monitoring and necessary course corrections in daily performance
- Offering effective leadership to cultivate a team dedicated to the company's overarching vision
- Engaging in performance management by providing continuous feedback to employees, highlighting strengths, and identifying areas for development
- Responsible for capacity planning within the team
- Motivate and inspire team members to consistently deliver high performance
- Recommend and implement best practices to ensure strict adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements within the claims investigation process
- Maintain a deep understanding of claims regulations and legal environments to inform decision-making
- Function as a primary technical resource for claims-related inquiries, offering guidance and support to desktop claim investigators
- Provide coaching and training to less experienced investigators, actively contributing to the development of the claims team

**Key requirements**:

- Completed Tertiary Qualification - Degree
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar or related role
- Manage a high volume of claim reviews in a fast-paced environment
- Results driven - history of consistently meeting targets
- Ability to work under pressure
- Analytical, negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Well developed and effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Internet navigation
- Strong process improvement and data analytics skills
- Previous people management experience (Leadership Roles) - advantageous
- Registration as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act - advantageous
- Offer insights and suggestions for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims process.
