**Duties**:

- As a member of the Exco, the Chief Financial Officer will serve as a credible, knowledgeable and trusted resource to the Exco
- This position requires a person that has working knowledge of group accounting as well as has dealt with and managed international operations and joint venture relationships as part of the group
- Sound financial leadership with proven business effectiveness
- Offer quality, meaningful analyses and financial perspectives necessary for corporate decisions
- Offer financial leadership to the Group, this position will be responsible for administration, planning, forecasting and analysis of financial risk
- Lead the Finance, Logistics and Purchasing, Admin and Enterprise IT teams
- Be responsible for the continued successful functioning of the Internal financial Control environment
- Represent the group in management meetings with regards to financial affairs
- Provide strategic financial input and direction to the Groups Exco
- Financial management of the organization to include but not limited to the budget analysis, forecasting needs, daily accounting, and treasury operations
- Take responsibility for financial internal controls and successful completion of all financial and IT related audits
- Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and take responsibility for the entire process and timely completion as well as interrogation of data to make sure that credible information is shared with the Exco and board:

- Evaluate the performance and provide training and development opportunities to the finance and admin staff
- Ensure all financial records are kept in line with IFRS and the Companies Act as well as any other regulatory and statutory requirement there might be

**Job Experience & Skills Required**:
**Qualifications**:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Honours in Accounting
- CA(SA)

**Experience**:

- Completed Articles
- 10-15 years post articles experience within a project management environment
- Advanced IFRS knowledge
- Tax Knowledge
- General knowledge of other legislations affecting business
- Commercial contracting experience
- African expansion and operational knowledge
- Intermediate knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
- Advanced Excel skills
- General ERP knowledge, specific knowledge of SAP B1 will be an advantage but is not essential

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to convey information understandably
- Ability to implement systems specific to project management, supply chain management and stock management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to execute complex financial models and forecast
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
- Ability to understand and interpret legal clauses that has a financial impact
- Hands on and proactive management style
