Duty Manager

This position involves supporting the Lodge Manager in all aspects of daily operations, guest satisfaction, staff management, and administrative tasks. The Duty Manager contributes to creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests while maintaining the lodge's high standards of service.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant college degree is a plus
- Previous experience in hospitality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in using basic computer software (outlook, word, excel) and Nightsbridge PMS.
- Able to work hospitality hours including weekends and public holidays
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license advantageous
**Responsibilities**
Guest Services:
- Greet and welcome guests, ensuring their needs and inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Assist with check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with a positive attitude, aiming to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide information about local attractions, activities, and services to enhance the guest experience.
Operations Support:
- Collaborate with the Lodge Manager to oversee daily operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
- Assist in maintaining the lodge's cleanliness, appearance, and functionality, identifying and addressing maintenance issues as needed.
- Help manage reservations, ensuring accurate booking information and proper room allocation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff.
Staff Management:
- Drawing up weekly rosters for staff and managing working hours.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the lodge staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient scheduling and smooth teamwork across various departments.
Administrative Tasks:
- Assist in managing lodge finances, including invoicing, payments, and cash handling.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and transactions.
- Help prepare reports on occupancy, revenue, and other performance metrics for management review.
Marketing and Guest Relations:
- Contribute to marketing efforts, including liaising with the marketing department.
- Engage with guests through feedback collection and reviews, utilizing insights to enhance services and experiences.
