Instructional Staff Liaison

**What We're Looking For**:
The Instructional Staff Liaison supports instructors who are contracted or employed by 2U on behalf of our degree partner institutions. This person works closely with the Manager, Instructional Staff to ensure that instructors are fully prepared and empowered to create transformative student learning experiences. They track and monitor instructor deliverables, collect and document instructor availability, and conduct regular outreach to instructors. To thrive in this role, they will require strong communication and analytical skills as well as the ability to create scalable processes and organizational systems.

**Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To**:

- Instructor Deliverable Tracking
- Track and document deliverables for instructional staff, including contractors and/or part-time employees.
- Use efficient organizational systems to track instructors' progress, measure outcomes, and escalate any concerns with potentially not meeting contractual obligations and deadlines.
- Employ tailored outreach strategies to remind instructors about deliverable deadlines and provide step-by-step directions where needed.
- Section Allocation
- Conduct outreach to instructors to collect schedule availability, following up as needed to ensure all details are documented appropriately.
- Utilize efficient tools and systems to track instructor availability and assist in scheduling instructors for live classes and exam review sessions.
- Monitor the number of sections taught by each instructor and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to inform the contracting process.
- Efficient Operations & Process Improvement
- Effectively and consistently leverage systems, tools, and methods to optimize day-to-day activities and increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create and manage spreadsheets, forms, and other tools for efficient tracking of instructor deliverables.
- Provision instructor accounts and ensure access to all necessary systems and platforms.
- Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Document all policies, procedures, and protocols.

**Things That Should Be In Your Background**:

- Bachelor degree required
- At least 5+ years of work experience
- Strong organizational skills, including experience managing Excel and/or Google spreadsheets
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents in a number of different settings
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to make timely decisions and demonstrate good judgment
- Self-starter who can take ownership of initiatives to deliver high quality results.
- Willingness to adjust work hours to accommodate university partner time zones and needs.
