**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Vision & Strategy Leadership**

Define and communicate the overarching product vision and strategic direction.

Spearhead large-scale research initiatives to identify market opportunities and trends.

Own the strategic roadmap and ensure alignment with organizational goals and market demands.

**Organizational Alignment & Leadership**

Lead cross-functional teams at the highest level to drive product innovation and execution.

Ensure alignment between product, marketing, and sales strategies throughout the product lifecycle.

Oversee compliance and financial processes, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.

**Product Performance & Optimization**

Drive the performance strategy across the organization, focusing on high-impact areas.

Monitor and optimize product performance to meet or exceed business objectives.

Lead product pivoting or scaling efforts based on market feedback and performance data.

**Stakeholder & Executive Engagement**

Engage with C-suite executives to align product strategy with broader business goals.

Communicate complex product visions and strategies to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Foster strong relationships with external partners, investors, and key industry players.

**Leadership & Mentorship**

Mentor and develop senior PMs, preparing them for higher leadership roles.

Lead organizational initiatives to improve product management practices and processes.

Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product management team.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
**Minimum Education/Training**:
**Required**: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or Advanced certification in Product Management (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, AIPMM) equivalent.

**Preferred**: Advanced specialized training in Fintech, Product Management, or Strategic Leadership. Leadership certifications or executive education in Fintech, strategic management, or advanced regulatory compliance. Project Management certifications (e.g. PMI or Prince2) or Agile leadership (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe).

**Experience**:Required: 8+ years of experience in product management, with a significant portion in a leadership role within the Fintech industry.

**KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS**

**Required Knowledge & Experience**

Extensive leadership experience in defining and executing product vision and strategy across large-scale Fintech initiatives.

Extensive experience and leadership in integrated fintech ecosystems, including mastery of APIs and Swagger, with a proven ability to drive strategic projects and guide cross-functional teams.

Proven track record in managing end-to-end product lifecycles, with a focus on high-impact business outcomes.

Deep expertise in South African market analysis, strategic planning, and financial modelling within the Fintech industry.

Strong ability to align product performance strategies with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Experience in mentoring and guiding senior PMs, fostering leadership skills, and driving organizational growth.

**Advantageous Knowledge & Experience**

Experience in spearheading innovation initiatives and driving digital transformation within a Fintech environment.

Advanced knowledge of global Fintech trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory landscapes including POPIA, FSCA, FICA, RICA etc.

Proven success in managing complex stakeholder relationships and influencing executive-level decision-making.

Experience in leading cross-functional teams through major product pivots, mergers, or acquisitions.

Market Segmentation & Positioning: Leads strategic market segmentation, competitor research, and positioning efforts, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and market dynamics.

Roadmaps & Requirements: Oversees and balances strategic product roadmaps, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to gather and prioritize complex requirements aligned with business goals.

Launch & Operational Support: Crafts sophisticated go-to-market strategies, managing the full product lifecycle, while ensuring operational readiness, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvements post-launch.
