Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Hotel in CT Central is looking for an Assistant F&B Manager to under the direction of the Food and Beverage Manager, and within the limits of the hotel’s policies and procedures, supervise and control all catering outlets including conferencing in the hotel to the required standards, within agreed budgetary limits, timeframes and parameters.
- To ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, snacks, functions and beverages to the required standards.
- To assist with profit margins where possible, agreed costs are not exceeded through effective controls.
- To ensure that restaurants and conference rooms are clean, well maintained and that table settings, including flower arrangements are impeccable.
- To ensure that waiters are always correctly and smartly dressed, that they offer professional and courteous service to their customers.
- To ensure that bar and storerooms are clean and stocked with the stipulated requirements.
- To ensure the efficient running of the conferencing department and that all conference rooms, including cloakrooms, are clean and tidy and that conference function sheets are sent out to all staff weekly.
- To act as Duty Manager when required and as acting Food & Beverage Manager in their absence
- To assist especially in kitchen with menu planning, design and execution, as well as orders and presentation of food.
- To assist with recruitment processes.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 1 year experience in Food & Beverage Service in managerial role
- MS Office Knowledge a must
- Knowledge of property management Pilot
- Semper and Vingcard knowledge an advantage
- Flexible on all levels at all times
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to manage people effectively
- Good organisational skills
- Be able to implement and maintain standards and procedures
- Be able to handle complaints efficiently
- Maintain high standards of guest service, hygiene and HACCP.
