Our client in the Medical Scheme Industry is looking for the expertise of an Accounts Administrator for their Credit Control Department. Experience in Credit Control and in a Medical Scheme environment is essential.

**Purpose of the Job**
- The primary responsibility of the Account Administrator is to manage contributions and allocations that includes all debt owed to the scheme by existing members as well as resigned members.
- To manage Medical Savings and the claims collection process.
- To manage termination requests of members and dependants.
- To assist other departments with relating to credit control queries.

**Key Performance Areas (KPAs)**

Ensure that Service Level Agreements and credit and collection policies and procedures are met.

**Job key responsibilities.**
- Managing and collecting debt owed to the scheme.
- Reconciling complex accounts and allocation of payments received.
- Formatting and issuing monthly billing statements.
- Formatting payment schedules to process via the auto allocation process.
- Reconciling accounts month end and sending the recon through to our member firms.
- Ensuring timely payments of contributions.
- Monitoring debtor balances to ensure compliance.
- Liaising with members, as well as firms to set up payment arrangements when needed.
- Communicate and respond to member queries in an efficient yet friendly manner, as well as the broader company whilst reporting to the Credit Control Manager.
- Manage a large debtors’ book.
- Review of unpaid debit orders.
- Capture journal entries when needed.
- Interdepartmental queries.
- Personal visits to clients as and when requested.
- Attending Zoom or Teams meetings when needed.
- Ensuring policy is followed and handovers are done.
- Assist walk-in clients.
- Propose write-offs of irrecoverable debt.
- A close liaison between the credit control department and various departments is required so that credit issues are resolved smoothly.

**Technical or Core Knowledge/Skill Required**
- Credit control

- Medical schemes experience

**Qualification/s**
- Matriculation with Mathematics and Accountancy NQF 5
- Analytical Accounting
- Credit Management Certificate
- 1 to 3 years (Credit control experience)

**Legal Requirements**
- Medical Schemes Act & Government Gazette
- POPIA Act
