Ensure production targets and profit margins are achieved cost-effectively and safely on a sustainable basis for the shaft
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for a shaft(s) and directly assist the Mine Manager in the tactical management process
- Act as the custodian for innovation, technology and best practices at shaft level
- Ensure environmental and social concerns are managed as a strategic focus area at shaft level
- Ensure effective asset management processes are implemented and adhered to
- Understand the impact of relevant legislation on the mining discipline and ensure compliance
- National Diploma or Degree in mining
- Mine Manager Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous)
- Management Development Programme will be advantageous
- 3 years working experience as a Mine Overseer
- 1 years experience as Underground Manager (appointed as a 2.6.1 or 3.1(a))
- Trackless Mining experience will be advantageous
- Code 8 Drivers License
- Valid certificate of physical fitness
