The Sales Support Administrator will provide essential support to the sales team, ensuring smooth operations and efficient management of sales processes. This role involves administrative tasks, customer service, and coordination between various departments to facilitate the sales cycle.
**Roles and responsibilities**:
- Assist the sales team with daily administrative tasks, including data entry, managing customer databases, and preparing sales reports.
- Handle inbound and outbound communication with clients, providing information, answering queries, and resolving issues.
- Prepare and process sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with the logistics and finance departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and invoicing.
- Track and follow up on customer inquiries, ensuring timely responses and satisfaction.
- Assist in organizing and managing client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Prepare and distribute sales documents, contracts, and proposals.
- Ensure all sales documentation is up-to-date and stored correctly.
- Assist in the preparation of sales materials and presentations.
- Generate regular sales reports and dashboards to track performance metrics.
- Assist in analysing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the sales team with market research and competitor analysis.
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate and schedule sales team activities, including meetings, training sessions, and travel arrangements.
- Assist in planning and organizing sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
**Experience and qualifications**:
- Matric
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a sales support or administrative role.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with sales processes and customer service principles.
