Repair Technician

**Food Service & Catering Equipment Industry**

We are hiring a **REPAIR TECHNICIAN **to assist and support in the Repairs and Maintenance of food service / catering equipment.

**Location**:Stikland, Cape Town

**Schedule**: Monday - Fridays, 08:00-16:30 & Saturdays, 09:00-12:00 (every 2nd Saturday)

**Minimum requirements**:

- Minimum of N3 in Electrical Engineering
- At least 3-5 years of workshop/repair experience
- Knowledge and experience within the food service and catering equipment industry **will be advantageous**.
- Qualified as a Refrigeration Technician **will be advantageous**.
- **Valid South African driver's license.**

**Responsibilities**:

- General_
- Listen to customer concerns and communicate all job-related topics in an efficient and comprehensive manner
- Attend to emergency calls on equipment repair issues
- Collaborate with other maintenance workers, company’s officials, and staff to effectively provide solutions to repair or maintenance problems
- Maintenance, Fault finding, and Repairs
- Technical fault/problem diagnosis on site (our premises will be where the individual will spend the most time), remotely or at our customers' site
- Provide on-site repairs, maintenance, installations, off-site remote troubleshooting on a wide variety of commercial catering and food service equipment.
- Read and comprehend wiring diagrams, follow manuals on operation and installation
- Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning, and equipment servicing
- Prioritize repair queue
- Update client equipment service log books
- Adhere to occupational health and safety during repairs
- Repairs Administration_
- Document service calls, travel logs, and any ad-hoc/emergency after-hour repair work
- Report to Technical Manager on all repair work in progress and completed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stikland, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
