A well-established and very dynamic NPO has a vacancy for a Grants Manager. The Grants Manager plays an important role nd will be responsible for ensuring that relevant team members are aware of what is required by each grant and that each Funder receives accurate and high quality reports as required by each Grant Agreement. The position is based is based in Mtwalume, on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal i.e. 80km from Durban and also 30km before Port Shepstone).

The organization currently receives funding from over 30 different major funders each year and each grant comes with its own unique obligations, budget, and reporting requirements. Thus, the primary responsibility of the Grants Manager.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Communicating relevant grant information with team members and monitoring that grant activities are on track.
- Compiling relevant high quality reports and ensuring that these reports reflect what is required by the grant agreement.
- Working with the HMCP and/or the Executive Director to understand existing grants and each new grant as it comes.
- Updating Grants Planner, ensuring that it is accurate and useful at all times (Grant Planer is an existing and well established internal system).
- Please note that the Grant Manager will **NOT** be responsible for drafting the actual narrative or financial sections of the reports but will be responsible for compiling these into final reports which are relevant, accurate, error-free and of high quality.
- The process will include double checking specifics of the reports against the Grant Agreements, ensuring that all numbers add up, editing for logic and consistency, and ensuring that funders are not receiving duplicate information.

**Qualifications and experience.**
- You must have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5 years or more professional work experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years professional work experience is required.

Another aspect of this position is to engage with the organization’s M&E in relation to reporting. All Organization’s reports include in-depth information about the impact of the programmes, and the Grants Manager will play a role collaborating with Reports Manager as well as to ensure that Funders are receiving the most interesting and relevant impact information available. The ability to handle multiple deadlines is essential and string analytical skills will also be advantageous because of the aspects of this position which relate to reporting on Impact Metrics.
