**Main Purpose**

To plan, direct and control all jigs and tooling and related activities for all tools (press and form tools, jigs, fixtures, and molds) owned by Donaldson to ensure maximum tool life.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain and further recommend jigs & tool making and tool maintenance at the Donaldson Epping Plant
- Maintain and further recommend & develop the jigs & tool database.
- Minimize and maintain jigs & tool downtime and tool maintenance cost through the implementation of an effective jigs & tool maintenance program/ system.
- Design and/or provide input during a jig or tool design with the aim to standardize jigs and tools and to ensure cost effective design principles are applied.
- To implement and execute a jig & tool audit program.
- To provide training and certification to all jig & tool users in the correct procedures to be followed when setting up jigs & tools, basic tool care and status.
- Supervise the transfer and re-commissioning of all jigs and tools.
- Obtain tool quotations for new tools or tools to be refurbished.
- To meet all agreed objectives set by Production Manager
- To prepare, control and report on fiscal jigs and tool expenses vs. budget
- Prevention of waste and activities that could lead to a loss to the company.
- Ensure implemented standards are being maintained.
- Good leadership and decision-making skills.
- Administration capability with experience to data tracking or record keeping.
- Pursue self development in order to provide “best practices”.
- To proactively identify actual and potential problems and institute remedial action

**Qualifications & Competencies**
- Completed Tool, Jig Trade Test
- National Certificate: Mechanical Engineering advantageous
- Previous Supervisory experience
- Prior Tool making and tool maintenance experience required
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Excellent attention detail and problem solving skills
- Willing to work overtime as and when required
- Logical and systematic approach to duties
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizing and administrative ability
- Reliable and punctual
