Your key **job** responsibilities as the **General Manager: Lotteries and Betting** in **Johannesburg** will include:

- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and market leadership in the lotteries and gaming industry.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion strategies to enhance our presence in existing markets and penetrate new ones.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing lotteries and gaming activities. Stay abreast of regulatory developments and proactively address any compliance issues.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the Lotteries and Gaming division. Monitor key financial metrics and implement cost-effective strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Lotteries and Gaming team, including staff recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute customer-centric initiatives to enhance the overall gaming experience and drive customer loyalty and retention. Utilize customer feedback and market insights to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with lotteries and gaming operations, including legal, financial, operational, and reputational risks. Implement robust risk management processes and controls to safeguard the interests of the company and its stakeholders.
- Cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, suppliers, and community partners.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums.

Requirements for this **General Manager: Lotteries and Betting job** in **Johannesburg**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- Senior management experience in the lotteries and gaming industry, with a proven track record of success in driving business growth and profitability as well as Pan-African knowledge.
