**Why we’re hiring for this role**:
We’re looking for an experienced UX Researcher to build insightful and actionable information models that inform how we empower business owners and developers to start and scale their internet business with Peach across different regions of Africa. This role sits within the Design team at Peach working on multidisciplinary product teams, working with designers, product managers, and engineers.

The UX Researcher will create a research program where recommendations, relevant information, anecdotes, insights and stories will help our teams understand the problems they’re solving more deeply, bring them closer to the day-to-day realities and challenges of enabling online payment for businesses, and help them make better decisions more quickly.

As part of the research program, the UX Researcher will evangelize these insights and recommendations across the company to articulate a shared understanding of problem statements and the tactical opportunities to solve them.

What you'll do:

- Join the Product Design at Peach and lead UX research for a multidisciplinary product team.
- You’ll define and communicate the research plan as part of a program of enlightening your team and the wider company on what problem we are solving for.
- You’ll work collaboratively with different teams at Peach to deeply understand customer experiences to clearly articulate problem statements and opportunities that will empower business owners and developers to enable and scale online payments with Peach.
- Create journey flows, wireframes, user interface mockups, click-through prototypes, long-form documentation, presentations and videos to effectively communicate the outcomes of your research.
- You’ll identify the interconnections of our product experience and prioritize the right project, scale, and scope at the right time and ensure speed of impact.
- Write specifications that document both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products for product managers, designers and engineers to implement.
- You'll bring empathy to your recommendations to find elegant but practical solutions that can reach diverse audiences across Africa. (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility, etc.)
- Be autonomous. You'll take full ownership of your work and you take responsibility for every detail each step of the way.
Who you are:

- You have at least 5 years of user experience design or human-computer interaction design.
- Expert-level knowledge of UX research practices with hands-on research.
- Excellent interaction design skills and a good visual design sense.
- You have cross-platform design experiences (Web, Android, iOS)
- Knowledge of Material Design and iOS user interface standards.
- You're an excellent communicator and can clearly articulate your research and thinking to different audiences.
- High level of communication and storytelling skills — you are attuned to the audience and know how to craft a memorable, compelling story with their needs in mind.
- You have the ability to bring empathy into your designs and interactions.
- Experience using Figma as your design tool, we exclusivley use Figma.
