
Principal Project Officer

**Job Purpose**:
To provide conveyancing and administration support service to the Human Settlements Unit.
**Key Responsibility Areas**:
Assists with the planning and co-ordinating of Conveyancing Sections activities.
Investigates and formulates responses to audit queries.
Manages, develops and monitors the performance and conduct of staff and interviews
applicants/employees for appointment.
Signs documents in terms of delegated powers.
Authorises sub-letting of properties by purchasers and substitution of purchasers upon death
or divorce.
Prepares specialist information for estimates, budgets and other reasons.
Represents the Municipality in court on civil matters affecting the Section.
Follows up on auction sale of properties following cancellation of sales.
Undertakes and resolves issues of a complex nature with purchasers, attorneys and public
representatives.
Ensures that work progress reports are received from all members of the panel of
conveyancers.
Follows up on any queries and complaints regarding members of the panel of conveyancers
received from purchasers and other attorneys.
**Essential Requirements**:
Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma)
Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B).
3 Years relevant experience.
Computer Literacy.
**Preferred Requirements**:
4 Years relevant experience.
