IT Technical Support One of our clients wants to grow their team and we are looking for an Avaya Engineer. As an Avaya Engineer, you'll be responsible for the information technology (IT) support of our business. You will provide IT technical support to all teams within the organisation and ensure that they have access to their devices and data wherever they are in the world. You'll be able to build strong relationships with colleagues from other departments in order to share knowledge or solve problems as a team. You should also be comfortable working under pressure, as your work may involve managing multiple projects at once. Requirements Demonstrates problem analysis techniques and is creative and innovative when handling workstation problems. Gathers relevant information from the customer, other users, documentation, and communications systems. Coordinates with peers and additional resources for incident analysis, resolution, and management. Provides direct client support to resolve computer issues. At least 4 years’ experience in ICT. Communication and IT Infrastructure Line of Business: Basic understanding of the integration of telecommunications and computer equipment. Limited experience supporting or implementing data &/or voice solutions. Basic understanding of relevant operating systems; LAN/WAN networks; and database. Basic understanding of telecommunication protocols and systems. Diagnostic skills in hardware and software products. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Self-disciplined with good time management skills. Fault analysis / troubleshooting skills; be able to read & interpret technical documentation. Strong focus on customer satisfaction. Customer focus with good attention to detail. Have initiative and be a team player. Fully competent on the use of Microsoft Office. Drivers licence and own transport. Qualifications Minimum NQF 6 (240 points) Minimum of 2 product implementation and 1 Support and Maintain certifications At least 4 years’ experience in ICT. Basic understanding of the integration of telecommunications and computer equipment. Limited experience supporting or implementing data &/or voice solutions. Formal Qualifications Preferable - 2 Avaya Product implementation and 1 Support and Maintain certifications Perks Medical Aid / Medical Insurance, Group Life Cover, Funeral Benefit, Minimum 18 days annual leave.
