**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Must be a Chartered Accountant or CIMA registered
- Minimum 10 years experience in a Finance role within a manufacturing or supply chain environment will be required
- Must be able to work efficiently in a matrix organization and manage a remote and diverse team
- Experience within a multinational or international organization is important
- Wide knowledge if finance (financial-, investment-, and valuation analysis, due diligence risk management, budgeting/planning etc.) is critical for the role
- Knowledge of ERP systems, including GAAP is essential
- Must have experience with International Reporting Standards, Compliance and Tax Regulations
- Must have a good understanding of Companies Act and South African Laws & Regulations
- Ensuring the functioning of the operating model, transformation of Finance function and its continuous improvement.
- Working across boundaries leveraging the One Finance concept to provide seamless business support.
- As member of Board of Director, taking accountability and ownership for financial matters of the legal entities in the country.
- Enhancing the understanding of the revenue/cost drivers, Cash Flow generating elements and the Balance Sheet by working across the boundaries of the Target Operating Model.
- Driving the effective and efficient delivery of business goals with sound financial analysis and advice through an appropriate balance of short, medium, and long-term financial planning and monitoring.
- Ensuring all business decisions are supported by robust, timely information and are taken with a full understanding of the financial impact, potential risks and exposures including local fiscal implications.
- Reviewing monthly reports prepared by centre and understanding material deviations from strategy and forecasts.
- Utilising key agronomic indicators, delivering budgets and forecasts in partnership with the controlling team in the Regional Finance team.
- Ensuring effective resource prioritisation based on sound risk-based cost and benefit analysis.
- Responsible for working capital management, and Profit & Loss accountability for a business area.
- Responsible for Capex management.
- Complying with all laws and regulations in South Africa, by working closely with regional legal counsel to ensure local compliance of laws and regulations.
- Acting as the companys Information Officer (POPIA).
- Supporting the business with BBBEE compliance initiatives.
- Participating in the companys provident fund meetings.
- Representing management in the Employment Equity meetings.
- Responsible for the Social & Ethics committee as required by Companies Act of South Africa.
- Proposing potential ways to improve risk management on key economic and commercial exposure.
- Recognising accounting issues requiring technical assessment and implementing any agreed solution in consultation with the group reporting and regional operations teams.
- Taking full accountability of local statutory, group reporting and tax books.
- Coordinating internal and external audits.
- Ensuring a good internal controls framework and following through on all relevant compliance issues (from internal audit, Sox, Letter of Assurance) including co-signing of Letter of Assurance.
- Ensuring governance models are working and related processes are fully compliant with group and local policies and regulations.
- Acting as the finance lead in cross-functional teams, taking projects / initiatives from initial appraisal through securing appropriate investment approvals.
- Attracting, developing, and retaining the right finance capabilities in the Finance function.
- Ensuring governance models are working and related processes are fully compliant with group and local policies / regulations (participation in Board of Directors, Finance Leadership Team, Compliance Committee & Legal Entity leadership Team and any other relevant forum).
