Time and Attendance System Coordinator

**Job Advert Summary**:
The role of the Time and Attendance System Coordinator involves the management, maintenance and support of the time and attendance system and accompanying biometric facilities utilised by the Company.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- At least 5 Year post qualification HR or Payroll experience with specific involvement in time and attendance operations.
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
- Experience in the supervision/management of staff.
- Good understanding of the relevant labour legislation, e.g. BCEA and LRA.
- Sound communicator (verbal and written) with good interpersonal skills.
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) skills.
- Management of T&A Systems in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge and experience working with the Jarrison (or similar) Time & Attendance system.
- Exposure/familiarity with HR operations service areas such as benefits, payroll, time & attendance, leave management, worker’s compensation, and employee health & safety.
- Good knowledge of shifts and the rules applicable by both the Company and legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Conduct needs analysis and determine requirements by doing site inspections (e.g. hardware, software, infrastructure, process flows, budget requirements, user allocation, etc.)
- System configuration (setup conditions of employment, shifts, security policies etc.)
- Design and deliver the required system training to managers, employees, and HR.
- Install infrastructure and hardware in conjunction with the IT Department.
- Monitor the functioning of devices to ensure that they are operational and functioning as required.
- Determine reporting requirements with stakeholders and setup reports (standard, custom and data export templates).
- Verification of hours, allowances, and shifts and identify exceptions and anomalies to be corrected.
- Conduct audits to identify and correct anomalies between T&A and payroll data.
- Review of exception and overtime reports.
- Troubleshoot device/system errors and act as liaison between sites and the service provider.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeous submission of information provided by users.
- Work in close partnership with Payroll, HRIS and ICT shared services to deliver recurring end-to-end services and processes.
- Champion a strong continuous improvement and process-honouring culture (leave and system audits).
