**Join Our Team as a Retail Manager at a Fashion Boutique in Cape Town**

Responsibilities: As our Retail Manager, you'll embody the essence of our brand and take the helm of our high-end retail store in South Africa. Your role encompasses both in-store and online operations, ensuring top-notch customer experiences and achieving sales targets.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Store Operations Management:

- Develop and implement effective store policies and procedures to ensure smooth daily operations, including online order processing and fulfillment.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock control for both in-store and online merchandise.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimize sales and profitability for both in-store and online channels.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained to enhance the store's overall presentation and brand image, both in-store and online.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.

Sales and Customer Service:

- Lead a team of sales associates, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations for both in-store and online sales.
- Set sales targets and motivate the team to achieve them.
- Foster a customer-centric culture by delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer inquiries or complaints for both in-store and online customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value customers, both in-store and online, to drive repeat business and increase customer loyalty.

Staff Management:

- Recruit, hire, and train qualified sales associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the products and brand, both for in-store and online operations.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak business hours.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate sales goals, new product information, and company updates related to both in-store and online operations.
- Encourage teamwork, recognise achievements, and address any performance or behavior issues for both in-store and online staff.

Sales Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyse sales data and generate reports to evaluate store performance, identify areas of improvement, and recommend strategies for growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt business strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting sales performance, KPIs, and future plans to increase store productivity.

Online Retail Order Management:

- Oversee the processing and fulfillment of online retail orders, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, packaging, and shipping.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team to optimise the online shopping experience, including website functionality, product availability, and customer support.
- Monitor online inventory levels, update product listings, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure stock availability for online orders.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

- Prepare and manage the store's annual budget, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation for both in-store.
- Monitor expenses, such as payroll, supplies, and operational costs, to achieve profitability targets.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Retail Manager in a high-end clothing accessory retail store, with experience managing online retail operations.
- Strong knowledge of luxury fashion trends, brands, and customer expectations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Proficiency in retail software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and online retail platforms.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Reliable transport

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)
