**Corporate Actuarial Analyst/Senior Analyst (Non-Life)**

**About the Role**:
A leading reinsurer based in Johannesburg is looking for a Corporate Actuarial Analyst/Senior Analyst (Non-Life) with at least 2 years of non-life insurance experience. The incumbent will be part of the team responsible for the local implementation of IFRS 17.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Familiarity with non-life IFRS 17
- SAM experience advantageous
- Reinsurance work experience advantageous
- At least 2 years of non-life insurance experience
- Advanced Excel (including VBA) and Power BI skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Strong technical skills and the ability to consistently produce high-quality output with little guidance or supervision
- Actuarial Degree with Honours
- Good progress towards qualification

**Responsibilities**:

- Part of the team responsible for the local implementation of IFRS 17:

- (Challenging results and drivers, assessing adherence to the Standard and deriving input assumptions)
- Reserving for the company’s Group Sub-Saharan non-life multi-line book
- Preparation of quarterly and annual reserving processes and results
- Analysis of the performance of the non-life business
- Statutory reporting (non-life), including SAM and Solvency II
- Modelling of forecast capital positions and business scenarios
- Assisting business with large deals and ad hoc requests
